What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is a specialized service for individuals with serious illnesses who choose not to pursue curative treatments, focusing instead on comfort and quality of life.

When is hospice care appropriate?

Hospice care is appropriate when a patient is expected to have six months or less to live and is no longer seeking curative treatment. 

What services are provided?

South Texas Hospice care includes medical, emotional, and spiritual support, provided by our team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers. 

Who pays for hospice care?

Hospice care is often covered by Medicare, Medicaid and many private insurance providers. 

Where does South Texas Hospice care take place?

South Texas Hospice provides and specializes in-home hospice care consisting of regular visits by our pain management, counseling, spiritual support, and nursing staff
